My dreamt city would have two main ways of transport: tram like the one in Parla (Madrid) and a bike path inspired on Dutch cities like Amsterdam. The tram would work with electricity and it would go through the main axis of the city while the bike path would have several divisions with the aim of setting a bike path lane nearer than 200 meters from every house in the city.
2-)How would houses and buildings be organized?
Houses and building in the center of the city would be organized in high buildings (skyscrapers) with solar panels and green infrastructure to take advantage of every resource our environment gave to us. The design of the streets would look like the one of the enlargement of the city of Barcelona. Besides, for the ones who needed bigger houses with particular garden, the suburbs would have blocks of buildings surrounded of big-green areas and also there would be detached and semi-detached homes in the outern layer of the city. However, there wouldn't be houses (or the least possibles) in the area of the outskirts, that would be used as a green zone for the people to walk, run or simply be in contact with nature.
3-)What would streets look like?
Streets would look wider, cleaner and less-contaminated as most of the streets would be closed to gas-oil cars, that would be replaced by hydrogen cars or electric cars (some of the streets would be totally pedestrian, even for non-contaminant cars)
4-)What type of jobs would people do?
People would work mainly in the tertiary sector (teachers, nurses, judges, journalists, bankers, policemen...) and also in the primary sector as urban vegetable garden farmers that would cultivate all the food consumed in the city.
Free time usage in my city would be very varied, as the city would have bowling alleys, pubs, bars, museums of history/ literature/ art/ automotive/ technology... space observatories and many other leisure places such as parks. Moreover, the citizens of my dreamt city would be able to travel to every part of the world immediatly thanks to teletransportation. For example: one citizen would be able to have breakfast in New York, come to the city to work and travel to Disneyworld in the afternoon with his wife and his child.
6-)How would people communicate?
Communication in my city would change due to the incorporation of the holograms to the daily life of the citizens and, so, personal meetings face to face would occur less than nowadays (when working, going to school and eating in family). In fact, as every citizen would be able to communicate with his friends via holograms, no one would need to go out of his house.
7-)How would human relationships be like?
Taking into account what I said in the previous answer, human relationships would be very different. They would be reduced and face-to-face converstions like the ones we could have in a bar with a friend, would be quite rarely. However, human feelings of love, hate, like, dislike... would remain and would continue as key points in human thinking.
8-)What would consumption and energy usage be like?
Consumption would be lower than nowadays and our nature would be able to sustain the consumption as most of the products we would use would came from our factories in Mars and the Moon. Indeed, we wouldn´t have factories in the Earth, so, we would pollute much less. Development in technology would bring to us the possiblity of transport electricity without wire (as Nikola Tesla tried), so we would be able to set a series of solar panel modules near the sun that would produce a lot of energy and would be the biggest energy resource of the city. However, this doesn´t mean that in our city we would waste energy. In fact, in my city we would use energy better than nowadays by setting efficient houses with more skylights and more efficient electrical appliances.
9-)Would you have special sights?
It is possible, but I think that is not the biggest issue as we would be able to travel from one place to another of the world immediatly. Perhaps, a rocket sculpture with the names of all the "green" inhabitants the city had in that time and in the past.
10-)Would you have schools/universities?
Yes, because the unique way of learning would be going to school and university as technology wouldn't we able to modify genetically our brain to introduce knowledge without damaging it.
